Abstract

Janusz Dunin’s study The Development of the Editorial Features of the Polish Literary Book in the 19th and 20th Centuriesis a record of its author's book theory. Dunin treated the book holistically as a material form of text in which all the elements are important: from the cover, through the text to the interior decorations. The relationship between the book and other fields of art is also important. The reviewed edition is a re-edition of Janusz Dunin's classic dissertation from 1982.
