COMPETENCES OF THE HIGHER SCHOOL TEACHER UNDER CONDITIONS OF PARTNERSHIPS WITH STUDENTS
Abstract
Considering rapid updating of knowledge, the prevalence of various technologies, the evolution of science, multicultural cooperation in the field of higher education, it is necessary to move the position of teacher from “broadcaster of knowledge” to a partner that shares responsibility and respecting the autonomy of student learning. Partnership interaction of a teacher and a student is considered as an option subject-subjective interaction based on cooperation. Subject-subjective interaction is understood in this case not as an individual approach to students, but as an approach that provides their personal growth and formation of active life position during learning activities. The principles of partnership interaction in the best way can be realized through the following technologies in teaching: coaching, mentoring, consulting, training, tutoring, moderation and facilitation. It is important to understand that the effectiveness of these technologies is more dependent not only on the use of appropriate methods but also on changing of the position of “personal reconstruction” of the teacher. First, we excrete the following list of required professional competence of high school teacher to carry out by them high-quality professional activity in modern conditions: analytical thinking, flexibility, emotional intelligence, ethics, effective communication, effective use of teaching methods, knowledge of subject teaching, motivating students, the creation of an effective interaction, development of others.
