Utilização da tecnologia em Educação a Distância na formação de engenheiros de produção da Universidade Federal de Itajubá: uma avaliação educacional Use of distance learning technology to train production engineers at the Federal University of Itajubá: an Educational Assessment
Abstract
O objetivo deste artigo é analisar dados obtidos em uma instituição de ensino superior, a Universidade Federal de Itajubá - UNIFEI, e teve como foco a avaliação da utilização da Educação a Distância (EaD) na formação dos engenheiros de Produção, já que experienciada na universidade. Evidencia aspectos como a quebra de paradigmas pela instituição, o interesse e a disponibilidade dos professores a esta modalidade de ensino e a opinião dos alunos quanto ao processo ensino-aprendizagem. No final da avaliação dos dados, compreendeu-se a necessidade de fomentar a reflexão sobre os resultados encontrados. Assim, a pesquisa buscou nova observação e investigação em uma instituição de ensino superior com estrutura e funcionamento de cursos a distância já consolidada. A princípio, havia o interesse em se fazer uma comparação entre as duas instituições de ensino, mas a avaliação dos dados obtidos sugeriu a efetividade da EaD quanto ao processo ensino-aprendizagem.The objective of this article is to analyze data obtained from a higher education institution (HEI), and it is focused on the evaluation of the use of distance education or distance learning (DL) in the training of production engineers. This study highlights some issues such as the break of paradigms by the institution; the interest and availability of professors in this type of teaching; and the opinion of the students about the teaching-learning process. The analysis of data indicated the need to encourage reflection on the results. Thus, this research aimed at observing and investigating another HEI with consolidated distance learning structure and function. At first, there was interest in making a comparison between the two educational institutions, but the evaluation of the data suggested the effectiveness of DL in the teaching-learning process.
