Abstract

Abstract: The article explores a gendered perspective on Norwegian TV-media production and representation of men’s team handball. A discourse analysis, influenced by Connell (2005), Bourdieu (1997) and Messner (2002), is applied and the concepts anomaly and liminality are utilized to analyse the commentator’s production of the «warrior» handball athlete.
