Las trabajadoras invisibles. Mujer y trabajo en los noticiarios cinematográficos Luce (1928-1940) / The invisible Workers. Women and Work in the Luce news programmes (1928-1940)

Abstract

RESUMEN: A través de esta investigación se analiza la imagen que el noticiario cinematográfico Luce presentó de las trabajadoras en sectores como la industria y el terciario. Se utiliza como fuente Luce porque constituyó uno de los instrumentos fundamentales de la propaganda fascista y se estudia el trabajo femenino en sector secundario y terciario porque su presencia y desarrollo está unido al progreso y a la modernización del país. Se muestra el concepto que este medio de comunicación popular difunde del trabajo de la mujer, así como los tipos de trabajo femenino que más se valoran –enfermera o maestra–, que coincidían con los aceptados por el Régimen. Se presentarán, además, las características visuales de las trabajadoras que aparecen en pantalla, los estereotipos más difundidos y el modo de presentarlos. ABSTRACT: This investigation analyzes the image that the Luce news programmes projected about the working women in sectors such as industry and tertiary. The sources used are the Luce programs because they became a key instrument of fascist propaganda, and the female work in the industry and the tertiary sector is studied because its presence and development is linked to the progress and modernization of the country. The concept that this communication tool broadcasted about work done by women it’s shown, and also the most valued types of feminine jobs – nurse or schoolteacherwhich agree with the ones accepted by the regime. I will also show the visual characteristics of the working women that appear on screen, the most usual stereotypes and the way to introduce them.
