Revolución americana y las sesiones secretas deCádiz
Abstract
El artículo analiza las respuestas que ofrecieron las Cortes de Cádiz a la Revolución hispanoamericana de 1810, que sublevó importantes territorios del Nuevo Mundo sometidos al yugo de la Monarquía hispánica. El estudio revela cómo en las sesiones secretas de las Cortes se apostaba por la solución bélica para reprimir y reconducir a la unidad de la monarquía a aquellos territorios que no reconocían la autoridad del Gobierno de la metrópoli y que se habían declarado soberanos e independientes como Caracas, Chile, Quito, Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, etcétera, mientras que con otros menos subversivos se mantuvo la vía del diálogo y la conciliación. The article analyzes the answers that offered Cortes from Cadiz to the hispano-American Revolution of 1810, which it incited to rebellion important territories of the New World submissive the yoke of the Hispanic Monarchy. The study reveals how in the secret sessions of Courts it was bet by the warlike solution to repress and to lead back to the unit from the monarchy to those territories that did not recognize the authority of the Government of the metropolis and which they had been declared sovereign and independent like Caracas, Chile, Quito, Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, etcetera, whereas with others less rebels stayed the route of the dialogue and the conciliation.
