STUDY OF SYNTHESIS OF LaFeO3 NANOCRYSTALS
Abstract
Nanocrystalline LaFeO3 is prepared by sol-gel method using citric acid and oleic acid as surface-active substances. The results demonstrate that after sintering at 850°C in 3 hours, we obtain LaFeO3 nanocrystals, sized<50 nm, independent on which acid was used. The present of citric acid not only reduces the average particle size of powders LaFeO3, but also increases their surface area in comparison with oleic acid.
