Le journal de René&#8239Depestre peut-il faire œuvre ?
Abstract
A difficult start characterizes René Depestre’s Cuban diary: the writer complains that he did not start keeping it earlier, doubts and writes sporadically. The man has to pass an existential crisis that the diary can attest. But the manuscript shows a certain perseverance, a willingness to work –I’m not even talking about the tapuscript established by him. What about the morals of René Depestre? If it acted as a brake, it allowed him to finish what he had begun, and to resolve his life difficulties.
