Knowledge Management in Real Estate Consultancy Firms: Breaking through the Barriers
Abstract
Corporate knowledge is well accepted as a decisive asset in most countries worldwide, The know-how and expertise of the work-force is an important factor for the success of companies and strongly influences the effectiveness and efficiency of the business processes and their outcome. In real estate consultancy firms, knowledge management (KM) is specifically relevant due to the knowledge intensive character of delivering the services to be rendered to clients, which call demand innovative and non-repetitive processes. However, there are barriers that need to be overcome so that the potentials of KM are capitalized.
