The financial performance of the companies from the oil sector. A comparative analysis

Abstract

Financial analysis has become an important tool of business management in the past decades, since the decisions that companies’ managers have to take are complex and depend by a variety of factors specific to the internal and external environment. A well-established financial analysis can constitute important advantages for the company. Starting from these premises, in this paper we analyze the financial position of a sample of 12 worldwide oil companies, one of the most competitive fields of activity with influences on other sectors.
