The text presents the way students, in Master's degree of training secondary school teachers in geography, appropriate the contents of didactics of geography, towards their learning of teacher's geography. With some case studies about students in French Masters in Teacher Training Colleges, this text aims to identify three typical ways of relationships to the professional reality, the focus is made on a training course with both geography and work analysis. The first relationalship is “trial” or challenge witch both realizations and ethical care about what is “well done job”. The second one (illusion) lays on true observation but false statements by ignorance of pupil’s knowledge. The last (desire) is blindness. Thus, the training is successful only for one case (trial): students manage with what is behind the professional scenes and are able to assess themselves. Are these three typical ways also discernible in others vocational trainings?
