Two-phase thermosiphons: Technology for the efficient and rational use of energy
Abstract
According to the National Energy Efficiency Plan 2022-2026, one of the most commonly used forms of measuring a country’s energy efficiency is the ratio between energy consumption and gross domestic product. Chile has not completely decoupled energy consumption from economic growth, which has experienced significant increases in recent years. The Energy Efficiency Action Plan 2020 (PAEE20) includes a series of actions aimed at promoting energy efficiency in the different economic sectors of the country. Within most of these initiatives, there is an urgent need to invest in developing and transferring new technologies to use the country’s energy resources better. Two-phase thermosyphon technology is presented as a proven alternative for developing new equipment for efficient and rational use of energy.
