The kinetics of 131I and dose formation in organs and tissues of laboratory Wistar rats with prolonged exposure was investigated. The methodical approach to the identification of variables that allows to describe the function of uptake in the thyroid (TG) was proposed. Some aspects of the absorbed doses formation, taking into account direct exposure of radionuclides entering the organ or tissue, and an additional γ-radiation radionuclides in critical organs: TG and hypodermis was disclosed. It is shown that the dose of additional irradiation of certain organs, directly adjacent to the TG, can be 1 - 2 orders of magnitude greater than the dose from internal radiation and significantly affect the functioning of the hematopoietic and immune systems.
