IONTOPHORESIS ON HYPERSENSITIVE DENTINE

Abstract

Hypersensitivity of dentine is a common problem and may occur in a specific tooth, in several teeth, or in one area of the mouth and with various intensity of pain. The most accepted theory related to dentinal hypersensitivity is the hydrodynamic theory. This paper will discuss the iontophoresis with fluoride to overcome the problem of hypersensitivity.
