Based on the relevant research at home and abroad, the current review summarizes the clinical characteristics, methodological diagnosis, and symptomatic treatment of septic myocardial depression. The aim of doing so is to provide a reference for the early identification and treatment of patients with sepsis and myocardial depression. Keywords: sepsis, myocardial depression, left ventricular systolic function, fluid resuscitation
