Enhanced performance of mesoporous NiCo2S4 nanosheets fibre‐shaped electrode for supercapacitor

Abstract Here, mesoporous NiCo2S4 nanosheet fibre‐shaped electrode was prepared using Ni–Co layered double hydroxide (LDH) grown on nickel wire as precursor. NiCo2S4 nanosheet electrode displayed excellent electrochemical properties with specific capacitance of 1974.55 mF/cm2 at 2 mA/cm2 and 86.2% capacitance retention after 5000 cycles, which were far higher than those of Ni‐Co LDH precursor. Our work provides new strategy to improve the performance of LDH used for supercapacitor.
