For nearly four millennia, Egyptian iconography has constantly evolved, developing themes, gestures and postures on all types of objects. The reading of this art is complex, as for the diversity of the works as by the codifications which govern them. This article proposes a brief synthesis of the main attitudes expressing body links, their hieroglyphic signification, as well as their impact on our knowledge of this civilization.
