THE CONTRIBUTION OF THE STAVROPOL CLASSICAL GYMNASIUM IN THE FORMATION OF THE ADIGHE INTELLIGENTSIA

Abstract

The article highlights the role of the Stavropol classical gymnasium in formation of national intelligentsia of the North Caucasus (by the example of сircassians) in the XIX th century. Specific examples covers the activities of the teaching staff for the integration of pupils in Russian cultural space.
