Vacuum-sealed casting process under pressure

A new casting m ethod, the vacuum -sealed m old casting under pressure, has been developed, and thin w alliron castings w ith high precision and sm ooth surface have been produced successfully w ith this casting m ethod. The experim ental results show that the liquid iron has a very excellent filling ability because a high negative pressure is form ed in the m old cavity during filling process. The vacuum -sealed m old under pressure has very high com pressive strength greater than 650 kP a, w hich is 3-4 tim es as high as that of the m olds produced by high-pressure m olding process orvacuum -sealed m olding process.
