INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES OUTSOURCING RELATIONSHIP - A CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to develop a conceptual framework to understand and analyze the Information technology outsourcing (ITO) relationship. So far economic perspective was the dominant perspective to explain (ITO) relationship. However this perspective has many shortcomings. In this paper we use sociological perspective to understand (ITO) relationship and propose Social Exchange Theory as a proper conceptual framework to analyse (ITO) relationship.
