To increase the educational attainment of the population isa priority that has arisen also from the pro-growth strategy of theEuropean Union. In this regard, the quality of the teaching processin tertiary education and subsequent graduates‘ employabilityare paid substantial attention. However, the quality of knowledgeand skills acquired and presented by the graduates on the labourmarket has not been observed so closely. The focus on quantitativeaspects implies a significant risk of lowering qualitative standards.The present paper strives to analyze the development and structureof students‘ results within the framework of economic studyprogrammes at the Faculty of Economics and Management CULSPrague in five consecutive academic years. Based on the analysis,the differences in study results, study skills and approaches arespecified and compared between and among the individual studyprogrammes and forms of study.
