Role of participative leadership and social empowerments on the teamwork skills of employees (Case Study: Isfahan university staff)

The purpose of the present study was to explain the role of participative leadership and social empowerments on the teamwork skills at university of Isfahan. The research method was descriptive - correlation and analysis of structural equation modeling. The study population included all administrative staff deputies (administrative, financial, cultural, and student research, education) University of Isfahan in academic year 2016 - 2017 totalled 344 people. The sample size were selected using Cochran's formula and through proportional random sampling method, 172 people. For collecting the data, Katoorn (2010) participative leadership, social empowerments and teamwork skills questionnaires with reliability of 0.90, 0.87 and 0.89. Results showed that participative leadership, social empowerments, teamwork skills of are staff above the average and participative leadership (r=0.56) and social empowerments (r=0.64) with teamwork skills have positive significant relationships (p<0.01). Based on stepwise regression results, among components of employee social empowerments, appropriate social skills and aggressive and impulsive behavior, predict 43.5% of participative leadership, participation and accountability 34.7% predict employees' teamwork skills predict. Structural equation modeling showed that social empowerment and participative leadership effect with 0.74 and 0.75 on teamwork skills corporately.
