The Impact of Logistics and Transaction Costs on the Efficiency of the Supply Chain of Distribution Enterprises
Abstract
The aim of the article is to determine the theoretical aspects of the formation of logistics and transaction costs and the characteristics of their impact on the supply chain of domestic distribution enterprises. The article analyzes various approaches of scholars to the interpretation of the concepts of «logistics costs», «transaction costs», their composition and classification. It is determined that in addition to logistics or transaction costs, the supply process may include costs that are difficult to attribute to one or another type, so another group of costs in the implementation of the supply process has been allocated. The relationship between logistics, transaction costs and supply costs of distribution enterprises is characterized. The author is convinced that logistics and transaction costs have a significant impact on the supply chain of distribution enterprises, so their optimization will have a positive impact on its efficiency. In order to optimize logistics costs at distribution enterprises, it is proposed, in particular, to establish cooperation with suppliers and consumers to minimize warehousing costs, use innovative technologies, increase costs in one section of the supply chain by reducing them in another, etc. Recommendations for optimizing transaction costs relate to part of the collection and processing of information, including on the database of counterparties, reducing the number of contracts partially by concluding them for long periods, etc. The author proves that constant analysis, control and search for ways to optimize logistics and transaction costs through modern innovative approaches for distribution enterprises is extremely important, because it will achieve high efficiency of the supply chain, reduce overall costs and ensure stable growth and development of business.
