MACC1 Promotes Angiogenesis in Cholangiocarcinoma by Upregulating VEGFA [Retraction]

Peng T, Li Z, Li D, Wang S. Onco Targets Ther. 2019;12:1893-1903. We, the Editor and Publisher of OncoTargets and Therapy are retracting the published article. The authors requested to correct the western blot images in Figure 1 after finding the images used for Figure 1E, MACC1 P6 and P7, had been duplicated. The journal agreed the images had been duplicated in error during the publication process. However, our follow up queries found the authors were unable to provide sufficient supporting information to validate the reported findings. As verifying the validity of published work is core to the integrity of the scholarly record, we are therefore retracting the article. The authors listed in this publication have been informed. We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and the COPE guidelines. The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
