En el encuentro del ordenamiento territorial y la lucha contra la desertificación: la pobreza

Abstract

Territorial planning and the combat against desertification are two branches of knowledge with a strong entity and it is not frequent to find them articulated in conceptualizations and -further on- in operative proposals that could synergize their results. The communication proposes that the integration of both could result in theoretical and methodological developments as well as proposals of intervention suitable for mitigating the inequity and poverty conditions of these dry lands of Argentina. An integrated methodology should be able to put together a same study and intervention in strategies of sustainable development and poverty combat. The examples presented and the validations of the proposal were carried out from studies of pilot cases being developed in the dry lands of the center-west of Argentina.
