CONCERTO FOR ORCHESTRA No.2 BY GHEORGHE MUSTEA — REMARKABLE MODEL OF MUSICAL NEOFOLKLORISM

Abstract

In the article there is an analysis of the Concerto for Orchestra No.2 as regards the musical neofolklorist stylistics which manifested itself widely in its content (the picturesque tableau (image) of a rustic holiday), the description of the fiddlers’ playing, the intonational and genre stylization of the folk dances Hora Mare and Sârba, in the harmonic combination of folklore elements with modern composition writing techniques — sonority and limited (controlled) aleatory.
