Rare case of subacute herpetic myocarditis
Abstract
Viruses represent the main cause, especially in developed countries. Coxsackie and echoviruses are the most common cardiotropic viruses causing myocarditis. Herpes simplex virus-induced myocarditis is uncommon, and few cases of Herpes simplex virus (HSV) type II have been reported to date.
