Abstract

This paper analyzes the mythological tradition in Hernando Domínguez Camargo’s Poema heroico de San Ignacio de Loyola (1666), both in terms of elocutio and as regards its diegetical core. It displays mythographic notes on some mythical characters and reveals specific debts to Classical literature.
