Emergent bedside management of a pneumatocele in a neonate via Fogarty catheter

Abstract

Key Clinical Message Persistent pneumatoceles in neonates increase mortality, and little literature regarding emergent treatment in a decompensating patient exists. We present the emergent management of a pneumatocele in a decompensating neonate by isolation with a Fogarty catheter.
