Design of Reliability Test Scheme for a Product’s Manufacture Finalization

The design formula of the reliability verification test scheme is introduced, the determination of the lower test limit and upper test limit are discussed, and the probability of the product whose reliability reaches the specified value passing the original reliability qualification test for design finalization is quantitatively analyzed. The research shows that the lower test limit should be the minimum acceptable value, and the upper test limit should be close to the specified value. In order to ascertain the specified value, the test time should not be less than the time calculated with the specified value as the lower confidence limit when there is no fault. Finally, the reliability test scheme for manufacture finalization is designed, which can not only examine the minimum acceptable value but also evaluate whether the specified value can be reached. Based on this, the time for the test and the allowable number of failures are determined.
