Nomenclature for factors of the HLA system

Abstract

The Nomenclature Committee for Factors of the HLA System of theWorld Health Organization standardizes the nomenclature of the HLAsystem and meets regularly during the International HistocompatibilityWorkshops. During the 15th International Histocompatibility Workshopin Buzios (RJ), Brazil, in September 2008, there was a meeting of thenomenclature committee when new rules were established, whichwere implemented in April 2010.
