Les représentations sociales et professionnelles des jeunes migrants en quête de protection : accéder à la complexité pour transformer les pratiques professionnelles ?

Abstract

Migration policies create a constrained framework for professionals in charge of accompanying young migrants seeking protection. The repressive and protective dimensions are articulated at the heart of this system marked by complexity. Moreover, the representations of young migrants seeking protection among the professionals in charge of their support are structured around antagonistic positions, carried by plural social and institutional affiliations. This article presents the results of an action-research project that aimed to transform practices through the meeting and dialogue of different actors and institutions. This social experimentation finally opened the way to the dialogical scope of social representations which, in controversy and conflict, can allow one to reexamine one’s practices.
