Work-based and tutorial education programs: distinct approaches of the ‘PET’ groups in Brazil

Design: Experience report. Relevance: This article aims to report how different educational programs under the acronym PET are organized in Brazil, highlighting differences and similarities. Additionally, program’s ideology and its organizational details are also described. Comments: Several groups linked to three distinct PET programs exist in the Brazilian univerties (Tutorial Education Program, Healthaimed Work-base Education Program, and Health Surveillance Work-based Education Program) with different focuses and work projects. All of them are based on the teaching-research-extension goals, with the objective of developing erudit and profissional citizens, which will be actives in the academic and social spheres
