OPTIMIZATION OF PREPORATIONS FOR UNIFIED NATIONAL EXAM ESSEY

The article presents the results of empirical studies of the implementation of Part 2 task of the Unified state exam. Through a detailed analysis of the text of the task in the Russian language exam and comparison of the task text with the text of the assessment criteria, flaws were identified both in the wording of the task and in the correlation between the task and the criteria for its assessment. On the basis of the analysis of graduates’ essays, we propose and comment on the sequence of tasks aimed at optimization of exam preparation, allowing one to write one’s answer in exact accordance with the task: to identify the topic of the text, to define the problem, to comment on the problem with references to the original text, to justify one’s acceptance of the author's thought. All concepts are illustrated with examples from school essays, based on the same original text. In the article the attention is paid to ensuring the coherence of the text maintained by controlling the ratio of the major substantive elements of the essay. The results of the study can be applied when organizing test exams.
