Chernihiv State Universal Scientifi c Library named after V. G. Korolenko as the Socio-Cultural Center of the City Community

Abstract

The relevance of the functioning of libraries as socio-cultural centers is substantiated. On the example of ChSUSL, the process of creation systemic and multilevel communications between library and public is highlighted. The approaches to creation of socio-cultural library space, in the framework of which coordination of efforts of various cultural institutions, organizations and institutions of the city becomes possible, is lighted.
