Reinstatement of two varieties of Trigonostemon viridissimus and seven superfluous lectotypifications in Indo-Burmese Trigonostemon (Euphorbiaceae)

Two varieties, Trigonostemon viridissimus var. chatterjii (Deb & Deka) N.P.Balakr. & Chakrab. and T. viridissimus var. confertifolius N.P.Balakr. & N.G.Nair, recently merged with the species are reinstated herein. This article also points out the first effective lectotypifications of seven accepted names (or their basionyms) in Indo-Burmese Trigonostemon Blume and their subsequent superfluous new lectotypifications. These include Trigonostemon diplotetalus Thwaites, T. heteranthus Wight, T. longifolius Baill., T. nemoralis Thwaites, Baliospermum reidioides Kurz [basionym of T. reidioides (Kurz) Craib], Clutia semperflorens Roxb. [basionym of T. semperflorens (Roxb.) Müll.Arg.], and Sabia viridissima Kurz [basionym of T. viridissimus (Kurz) Airy Shaw].
