The reform in the procedural rule that took place between 2010 and 2015 promoted the negotiated solution as the main means of resolving disputes. This article seeks to understand the formation and consolidation of conciliation and mediation as a dejudicialization of conflict resolution in the context of the Commission of Jurists designated for the elaboration of the Draft of the New Code of Civil Procedure with the Senate. The analysis was carried out through the categorization of the members of the Commission of Jurists and the speeches given at the first meeting and in the caravans. It was noticed that the commission represented subcategories of the legal universe that lent political and symbolic capital to procedural reform.
