Badania nad imionami zakonnymi

Abstract

The paper presents the state of research on the religious names in Polish onomastics (both studies relating to female and male names, as well as those in which one can find theoreti- cal issues). The author supports the need to include religious names studies in the current stream of interdisciplinary research. The second part of the article describes the comprehen- sive research on religious names, which were initiated at the Institute of Polish Philology of the Pedagogical University in Krakow.
