Anniversaries are an opportunity to make some summaries and outline new or correct current activities. Thirty years of publishing of the “Koszalin-Kolobrzeg Studies” encourages us not only to pay attention to the origins, development and current state of this journal, but also to the new and greater publishing possibilities of the Koszalin scientific community. A second scientific journal on theological and historical topics entitled “The Skrzatusz Annals” appeared in the scientific space. The creation of this periodical is closely related to the diocesan sanctuary of Our Lady of Sorrows in Skrzatusz. In 2013, the 25th anniversary of the ceremonial coronation of Pieta Skrzatuska with papal crowns was celebrated. The symposium organized on this occasion and the commitment to future cooperation of the directors of the Salesian archives in Pila (Piła) and the diocesan archives in Koszalin gave rise to the creation of the first and, so far, last edition of the newly constituted yearbook. The title refers to the importance of the Skrzatusz sanctuary since the rescued Pieta from the Mielecin (Mielęcin) church appeared there. The importance of Skrzatusz was also emphasized by the decision of Bishop Ignacy Jeż, when he established in 1972 a diocesan sanctuary for the Koszalin-Kolobrzeg (Kołobrzeg) Church. The hard work of successive custodians and the support of diocesans and subsequent bishops have made it an important pilgrimage place not only for Poles coming from many regions, but also for foreign guests. The editorial staff of the yearbook, working closely with the publishers of “Koszalin-Kolobrzeg Studies”, constantly improve the publishing standards of the periodical. 68 people representing various research centers in Poland and abroad published their scientific achievements in the magazine. It also provides an opportunity for subsequent academic graduates to publish their scientific achievements.
