Behavior Competence in Sport Management
Abstract
The objective of this study was to identify the behavioral competences described in the literature in managers working in the field of sport. This is a bibliographic research with a qualitative approach. The terms used for the initial search were: leadership, sport, sports teams, (behavioral competences) “sport management”, respecting commas, parentheses, and double quotes. Studies published between January 2016 and September 2021 were considered. The findings indicate that there is a considerable gap in the investigation of the performance of sports managers with regard to their relationship with their peers. There is still a trend towards diagnostic identification of process management to the detriment of people management.
