We aim to present anesthetic management of lumbar suturing as false traditional and regional folk beliefs used for treatment of low back pain. A male patient, 57 years of age, diagnosed with nephrolithiasis, referred for ureterorenoscopic stone treatment (URS). Balanced general anesthesia was chosen instead of spinal anesthesia because of a rope which was about 5 cm radius around ecchymosed, scaly and fluctuating skin with infected inlet on patient's lumbar spine.
