In this research, N content of peat samples collected from Muş, Burdur, Içel, Kütahya, Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş and Trabzon, was determined. Nt values of samples were changed between 23988 ppm (Trabzon) and 7862 ppm (Kütahya). 70.94 %-98.31 % of Nt were hydrolysed. Nst values were 1.69 %-19.07 % of Nt. Total hydrolysable NH4 +-N was changed between 11.36 %-20.75 % of Nt. (NH4 +) e+s-N and NO3 --Nvalues ranged between 0.69 %-1.28 % and 0.11 %-6.57 %, respectively. The range of Rest-Nhyd was 40.60 %-49.38 %. Heksozamin-N and amino acid-N values were changed between 4.21 %-11.19 % and 12.33 %-16.16%, respectively.
