The effect of high cortisol doses upon the antibodies' synthesis is being studied. The experiment makes use of 36 guinea-pigs of male gender, of bodily mass between300 and 400 g; they were not treated with anything; they lived under the usuallaboratory conditions and were normally fed. The guinea-pigs are divided into two groups, namely, the control (18) and the experimental (18) ones. Ali the animals aresensibilized with the BSA albumin. It is concluded that the high cortisol dosesapplication in the male guinea-pigs causes suppression of the antibodies' synthesisduring both the primary and the secondary humoral immune response.
