In South Ethiopia, thousands of stone stelae stand in more or less important groups. While the oldest are one thousand years old, others are recent. The former have been studied over the past few years, whereas the latter have often been forgotten. This is the case for the Hadiya stelae left completely unnoticed, although they are morphologically close to the Sidamo phallic stelae and the Soddo anthropomorphic ones. Their study, together with that of the Arsi and Konso stelae, could give interesting perspectives in the understanding of the oldest stelae.
