Entre espace social et espace résidentiel : des représentations différenciées de la « mobilité » en zone périurbaine

Abstract

This article questions the link between relations to the “mobility” of pendular working persons, who moved away from their employment to buy a home in outlying suburbs, and trajectories and social positions. While residential mobility is associated to a search of a stability with upward trajectory, it corresponds to a search of adventure for those who did not succeed (or not yet) in realizing their professional ambitions. If the first ones do not speak about daily travels or offer a negative point of view, the seconds see it in a positive way.
