The paper analyses the role of contemporary diagrammatic theory in the art and plastic synthesis of facilities with historical and spatial-regulatory value during the planning of physical extensions or shape-related remodelling that are significant for the protection of the value and features of the found facilities and their parts. Starting point of the research is the role of graphism of the line in the original drawing process of the architect which happens in the realm of gestalt images - metahistorical, meta-objective/meta-stylistic and meta-disciplinary. The search for the appropriate functional and plastic synthesis in the analytical process of the architect is processed through the domain of cognitive principles of extended memory that are used for constructing meta-perspectives and as coded principles of inscriptions used for the construction of integral networks through the extraction from disciplinary blocks and structures that operate as standards on the rational grounds. Secondary processes also include new structures in the recombination procedures - inversion of the new which begins to affect the original sources from the state of self-affecting reconfiguration. Engagement of the architect Dimitrije M. Leko in the preparation of the 1954 draft solution for the extension of the buildings of the Technical Faculty and Ministry of Social Policy and Public Health in Belgrade concurrently represents conservative and restoration efforts. Study techniques that are the subject of this paper represent different situations of the diagrammatic graphism applied by the architect: functional diagrammatic shaping of the space during the extension of the Technical Faculty building and plastic diagrammatic approach in case of the building belonging to the former ministry of the Kingdom of Serbia, describing the diagrammatic relation in the experience of representativeness - through academic and modernistic postulates.
