THE ANALGESIC EFFECTS OF AN INNOVATIVE DUMBBELL FLEXOR SYSTEM

Abstract

The purpose of the work is to investigate the analgesic effects of dumbbell-flexor innovative system. For this, we left the assumptions that the secondary musculoskeletal pain localized to the hand and forearm can be treated with that device and that the pain caused by muscle fever associated with exercises performed with this device is smaller compared to similar exercises performed with dumbbell. The study was conducted on volunteers who carried forearm curls with dumbbell-flexor and usual dumbbell, as well as a lot of repetitive musculoskeletal pain suffering. Pain was assessed by visual analog scale, the results confirming both hypotheses; therefore the dumbbell-flexor system can be used to treat secondary musculoskeletal pain and prevent muscular fever.
