Erwin Heinrich Frank: the German anthropologist who choose to live in Amazon
Abstract
A biographical note on Erwin Heinrich Frank (1950-2008), a German anthropologist who worked in Peru, Ecuador and Brazil. Frank was a professor at Universidade Federal do Pará and Universidade Federal de Roraima in Brazil. Written by his wife, the note covers his background, field research and anthropological work, including the project which resulted in the previous unpublished article included in this issue, concerning Theodor Koch-Grünberg’s ethnography.
