The purpose of this study was to determine how 7th grade students perceive Evliya Çelebi and Travelogue. For this purpose the study qualitative research method used. As data collection tool is metaphors and used semi-structured questions of perception. Content analysis was conducted to analyze and interpret the data of the study. As a result of analyze, the stedent’s are rather lacking their information on Evliya Çelebi and Travelogue, but we can conclude that the majority of the students have restricted knowledge about Evliya Çelebi and Travelogue. According to data obtained from this study should include to Evliya Çelebi and Travelogue in Social Studies curriculum. Thus, Evliya Çelebi and Travelogue which a literaty genre can be provided desirable behavior for students by using Social Studies courses.
