The effect of the weight of cloves on the growth and the yield of fall-planted garlic

Abstract

In three years trials (1990-1993) the effect of weight cloves on growth and yield of local garlic ecotype R was assesed. Seven classes of cloves were studied. Significant effect of weight of cloves on growth and yield of garlic was found out. The plants grown from big cloves gave higher and better quality yield then those grown from smaller cloves. There was no difference in yield of plants grown from big and medium cloves.
